Over 150 businesses, from investment and industry networks, joined BetaDen’s cohort 4.0 Showcase.

Over 150 businesses, from investment and industry networks,   joined BetaDen’s cohort 4.0 Showcase to learn more about the innovative products and technologies being developed in the county.

This marks the completion of the nine-month acceleration journey for BetaDen’s 4th cohort of technology businesses. Since the inception of the programme, 40 businesses have received the dedicated mentoring and route to market support, with the next wave of early stage businesses soon to start Cohort 5.0, due to be announced soon.

Following this recent success and the overall achievements of BetaDen to date, the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) has confirmed that CEO and Founder of BetaDen, Linda Smith, will be leaving the organisation in April.

Linda has been with the Worcestershire LEP for over 5 years and with BetaDen since its inception, developing and delivering a truly unique commercial accelerator programme to help improve Worcestershire’s placement nationally for business innovation. Linda was also a driving force for the Midlands Cyber cluster programme, helping to strengthen cyber security connections across the region whilst also welcoming national and international delegations.

Linda Smith, CEO and Founder of BetaDen, said “I am immensely proud of how Worcestershire has supported the creation and delivery of BetaDen. Since launch in 2018 the team and I have worked hard to position the credibility and reputation of Betaden in providing Real Help for Real Tech.

“I’ve met, worked and championed the BetaDen founders and we’re starting to see the rising stars from the programme such as Plinx, Droneprep, CoHo and Veritherm raising investment and creating high value jobs, which is immensely satisfying.

“For myself I’m looking ahead for new challenges and where I can add value utilising both my technology and international business development knowledge and experience.”

The team would like to thank Linda for all of her hard work, dedication and enthusiasm over the past few years and wish her all the best for the future.

BetaDen’s fifth cohort of businesses are due to be announced later this month, for more information on BetaDen and its delivery, visit their websites – www.beta-den.co.uk   www.betaden-north.co.uk
