Digital & AI Innovators join all-new support programme at Kidderminster’s Old Court

Eleven ambitious businesses have joined BetaDen’s new twelve-week Digital & AI BootCamp, launched at The Old Court in Kidderminster to help Worcestershire businesses develop digital products, integrate artificial intelligence and accelerate growth.

Delivered by multi-award-winning Worcestershire technology accelerator BetaDen, the programme provides founders with specialist workshops and one-to-one mentoring as they develop and commercialise innovative digital products and services.

The launch confirms BetaDen’s commitment to supporting ambitious technology businesses across Worcestershire. It also reflects BetaDen’s wider ambition to build a connected innovation ecosystem that supports businesses from early-stage development through to scale-up.

The BootCamp becomes the second BetaDen business support programme to operate from Kidderminster’s Old Court, strengthening the venue’s growing role as a hub for entrepreneurship and innovation in Wyre Forest.

The first cohort brings together eleven businesses from a diverse range of sectors, including oral health, self-improvement and flood defence.

Over the course of the programme, founders will receive tailored support covering areas including digital product development, commercialisation, artificial intelligence, cyber security and business growth.

Speaking about the launch, Donston Powell, Head of Programme Delivery & Strategic Growth at BetaDen, said:

“AI is creating enormous opportunities for businesses, but accessing those opportunities requires more than simply adopting new tools. Companies need to understand where digital technologies can genuinely create value, how to build products around them and how to manage the associated risks.

“This BootCamp brings those elements together. Over the next 12 weeks, these businesses will work alongside experienced mentors to strengthen their propositions, develop their digital capabilities and turn ambitious ideas into commercially viable products and services.”

The Digital & AI BootCamp is funded by Bromsgrove District Council, Malvern Hills District Council, Wyre Forest District Council and the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership, offering a diverse range of workshops, mentoring, and peer collaboration, all supported by purpose-built facilities, including media studios.

The programme has been designed to help participating businesses not only take advantage of emerging digital and AI technologies, but also build the knowledge and resilience required to navigate an increasingly complex technology landscape, including understanding and managing emerging cyber-security risks.

BetaDen has now supported more than 150 businesses through its programmes since its foundation in 2018, helping technology entrepreneurs, start-ups and scale-ups develop their propositions, access expertise and build the connections required for growth.
