BetaDen: Worcestershire’s first tech accelerator is recruiting now

BetaDen has been designed to provide access and a unique environment for entrepreneurs and technology businesses to develop new concepts, products and solutions across emerging technology sectors.

Based at Malvern Hills Science Park, www.beta-den.com has been designed to provide access and a unique environment for entrepreneurs and technology businesses to develop new concepts, products and solutions across emerging technology sectors alongside Worcestershire’s 5G testbed project team, helping new and existing companies to lead the way in future tech.

BetaDen is now actively recruiting and requesting applications from start-up businesses and entrepreneurs looking for a commercially lead tech accelerator. The first of its kind in Worcestershire, Betaden has eight fully supported spaces available to run the first nine month cohort starting October 2018.

BetaDen’s onsite offer provides many benefits to support your business and individual growth including access to leading technologists, specialist business support and funding. BetaDen’s extra advantage is being a place that can also support the next stage of growth,  through serviced  offices, flexible work space, lab facilities and meeting rooms  all located within a network of technology and cyber businesses including the global technology company QinetiQ.

Is BetaDen for you?

BetaDen will offer entrepreneurs, start-ups and scale ups looking for developer space the environment in which to create, design and bring to market new technologies and solutions. Successful applicants will have access to BetaDen’s handpicked mentors, tech workshops, investment coaching, Proof of Concept grant (circa value £15k-subject to eligibility) and commercial meetings with a real route to market network.

BetaDen has been meticulously planned and developed to differentiate from other tech accelerators. Being co-located with one of the UK’s first Industry 4.0  5G testbeds, BetaDen is at the forefront by creating a development space dedicated to new products in futuretech. Worcestershire’s 5G testbed project consortium will also provide a diverse technical and applications platform of knowledge and thought leadership to support members of the cohort. Disciplines include IoT, AI, Security by Design(Cyber) Industrial security.

Apart from the physical cohort based in Malvern the vision for Betaden the brand, is for Worcestershire and the wider Midlands manufacturing and security network to co-support and promote entrepreneurship, business start- up and scale-up for technology across the region. A reputation and credibility from the defence and security business network based  here, known as “Cyber Valley” can look to gain greater national and global recognition by investments such as BetaDen as a known location where the industry innovation is coming from.
