Eight ambitious tech businesses from across the region have been selected to join Worcestershire’s award-winning business support programme, BetaDen Accelerate, marking the start of an exciting new chapter for the county’s innovation landscape.

Enabled by funding from Malvern Hills and Wyre Forest District Councils, Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership, and continued partnerships with local firms Apogee Associates, Whitehouse Legal, and Wynne-Jones IP, each participating business will benefit from BetaDen’s structured programme over the next six months, combining expert-led workshops with one-to-one guidance, commercialisation support, grant funding, and opportunities to build strategic partnerships across sectors.

The companies joining BetaDen’s Cohort 9.0 are:

  • Barbourne Brook – A tech-powered customs duty solution for dynamic UK mid-market businesses
  • Book Drive – An all-in-one booking solution for driving instructors and learners
  • CORZ – A multifunctional core training device utilising gamification
  • Ergofigure – A wellness tracking device that helps users to visualise and manage their cardiovascular wellness
  • First Base Solutions – An agri-tech software solution for grower producers, traders and retailers
  • Glideology – An innovative modular infrastructure platform designed for rapid deployment in remote or high-demand environments
  • Ocius Consulting – A change management platform to ease internal business transitions
  • Scalably – An AI-enhanced integration solutions e-commerce platform

In a first for BetaDen, three of the eight businesses selected for Cohort 9.0 previously took part in the organisation’s newly established Incubate programme. Their progression from the incubator to the full accelerator highlights the strength of Worcestershire’s growing technology ecosystem, and demonstrates how early-stage founders can now access a clear pathway of support – from first ideas to investment-ready scale-ups.

Excitingly, Cohort 9.0 participants will also present their innovations at BetaDen’s annual technology Showcase in February 2026. This Showcase will form the closing event of Worcestershire’s second TechFest, placing BetaDen’s founders centre stage in front of a large audience at one of the region’s most dynamic celebrations of technology, enterprise, and innovation.

Gary Woodman, Chief Executive of Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership, said: “Cohort 9.0 is an inspiring group of businesses, each addressing critical challenges in unique and innovative ways, right here at the heart of Worcestershire.

“We’re excited to see how BetaDen will support their journeys and look forward to seeing their progress at the Showcase evening during TechFest 2026.”

Sarah Morgan, Data Solutions Director at Scalably said: “Being part of this cohort is a great opportunity for us.

“The programme gives us access to expertise and connections that would normally take years to build, and the chance to showcase our work through BetaDen’s incredible platform enables us to share our vision with the wider technology community.”

Now in its ninth Cohort, BetaDen Accelerate has been twice recognised as ‘the best tech accelerator’ in the UK. Since its launch, the organisation has supported over 100 businesses, securing millions in investment, creating jobs, and driving growth across Worcestershire’s thriving tech ecosystem.
