Next up in our introductory series on the brilliant businesses that make up BetaDen Accelerate Cohort 9.0 is Stephen Bradstock and his company, First Base Solutions.
First Base Solutions are an IT services provider, responsible for developing LiveFarmer – a farm management software solution, seeking to increase on-farm efficiency by consolidating data into a simple ease-of-use application.
LiveFarmer addresses the overly messy farm paperwork process by providing farm managers, packhouse managers, farm owners and agronomists with the digital toolset to complete their jobs with increased haste and the opportunity for bigger profit margins.
Founded in 2003 and with a plethora of successful hardware & software projects under their belt, First Base now seek to further focus on the agricultural sector – branching out into farm robotics software, utilising AI to simulate human picking & harvesting techniques with the hope of saving costs and plugging the huge shortage in field and factory workers that exists in the UK & European farming and food production industry
Throughout their time on the BetaDen Accelerate programme, First Base will be looking to harness mentoring support in the areas of R&D tax credits, marketing and general prototyping with the hope of building a fully-fledged platform for their farm robotics project.
