Our series of articles focusing on the wonderful businesses that make up BetaDen Accelerate Cohort 9.0 reaches its conclusion with a focus on CareBoodle.
CareBoodle is an application that guides carers in identifying delirium in patients and escalating cases where necessary. The application fills a key data hole through providing vital analytics that can be used to spot delirium early and prevent outcomes such as falls, hospital admission and loss of independence.
Founded in 2025 as a joint venture between healthcare professionals Kirsten Protherough, Liz Blacklock and Stella Shaw, CareBoodle’s application is being developed by BetaDen Incubate alumni Dan Cook of WebHQ and utilises a large language model to produce reports that enable carers and care managers to make quick decisions regarding escalation.
Through their use of AI technology in speeding up and improving accuracy in delirium identification, CareBoodle seeks to address the 70% of delirium cases that are missed which in itself leads to avoidable outcomes such as 999 calls, hospital admissions and injuries, costing health & social-care systems around £2.5 billion a year.
Following their involvement in BetaDen Incubate Intake 4.0, CareBoodlecome on board Accelerate Cohort 9.0 seeking to utilise mentoring in areas such as intellectual property protection and product validation as they push towards the launch of the application.
Please join us in extending a very warm welcome to Cohort 9.0 to CareBoodle!
