Hello and welcome to BetaDen’s Business Insights – March edition, your monthly round up of BetaDen’s tech news, updates from across the county and important dates for your diary.

March 2020 has been a month like none of us have known before, BetaDen as a young start up itself  is beginning to adapt and plan for the coming months ahead. Although we will have to postpone some scheduled events we want to reassure our network we will maximise the online technology options to keep you on board. 

Firstly, we have some positive news to share with you all. Throughout March we interviewed 17 potential candidates for our third pilot cohort and are thrilled to announce the names of who will be joining BetaDen 3.0 in June 2020: BlockMark Technologies, CoHo, Heteronomics, Packful, RedBarn, Telecetera, VoJo and Whitebox Systems. A wide range of technology solutions for industry and societal improvements.

News of the launch of ‘Tech Tuesdays’  in May 2020,  our technology community event series,   has been moved online. The first title is  “How can we change society with blockchain” will be delivered via a live stream webinar by two renowned  exponents of the subject and its commercial applications.   Many exciting topics and tech challenge themes such as drone tech,  SMART manufacturing,  edge computing and security by design are planned throughout 2020 as this series develops, keep an eye on the website for updates.

Finally, although we have been forced to postpone our Showcase for Cohort 2.0 founders, we are hoping to run this amazing platform for Worcestershire later in June. This is a critically important event for our cohort to launch product, pitch for investment and sell their “solution” to market. As soon as we have the green light  this will be announced.

BetaDen remains dedicated to growing the technology eco-system here in Worcestershire and will make as much of our scheduled content available online where possible, our team remain committed and are working hard to keep BetaDen’s development on track for all of our technology network and encouraging local businesses where possible.
