Eligibility

Applications are welcome from all technology businesses wishing to accelerate their growth and able to attend the face-to-face sessions at BetaDen HQ in Malvern. Priority will be given to applications from businesses registered in Malvern Hills District Council and Wyre Forest District Councils, who are supporting the BetaDen Cohort 9.0 Programme financially through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

We are looking for:

UK-based technology companies looking to exploit/develop a new innovation

UK-based scale-up technology companies looking to accelerate an existing innovation

UK-based technology entrepreneurs looking to scale up an existing innovation

Non-UK technology companies looking to set up and innovate in Worcestershire



Cohort 9.0 Key Dates

Applications open:1st of May 2025, 9 AM
Applications close:6th of June 2025, 8 PM
Selection and interviews:17th June - 18th July 2025
Programme start:9th of September 2025
Programme end: 4th of March 2026


*Eligibility Criteria Applies: POC grant application must be submitted no later than the deadline stated at the start of the programme. All project costs must be external to the company. All purchases and purchase commitments may only commence after the grant has been agreed; any invoices issued/paid before the grant agreement has been signed will not be eligible. 100% of the project costs must be covered upfront by the business, these costs may then be claimed retrospectively. Evidence of costs must be supplied as instructed. VAT cannot be included or claimed as part of the grant, all costs must be given NET. All costs must be claimed within the timeframe outlined in the grant agreement. This will usually be based on the purchase dates indicated by you in your grant application. Applicants must comply with the eligibility criteria. Costs must comply with the eligibility criteria. Any changes made to the spend profile or preferred supplier(s) must first be agreed by the Proof of Concept programme manager. A place in the BetaDen cohort does not guarantee access to Proof of Concept funding. The cohort member must submit a successful grant application to obtain the grant funding.
